Nominal Data

Nominal Data is a form of qualitative data that classifies variables into categories. These categories can be nouns or tags because they are merely descriptive, lack any numerical or quantitative significance, and cannot be organized in any form of useful structure.

Nominal data can be represented by both words and numbers, but these “”number labels”” have no actual numeric value. Blood type, Zip code, and gender are examples of nominal data.
