Viswanathan joins the illustrious list of names which includes thought leaders such as Dr. Sridhar Ramaswamy, senior vice president, Search Advertising at Google, Dr. Anand Rajaraman, founding partner at Cambrian Ventures, Palo Alto, Dr. Venky Harinarayan, senior VP at Walmart Global eCommerce and head of WalmartLabs, to name a few.

The Distinguished Alumnus awards are presented annually by the institute. Viswanathan founded LatentView Analytics in 2006 along with co-founders Ramesh Hariharan and Pramad Jandhyala. Under Viswanathan’s stellar leadership and backed by a team of more than 500 employees, LatentView has established a significant global presence to address burgeoning market demand. These analysts are influencing the strategic decisions that Fortune 500 companies are making around the world.
This award is the latest in a long line of industry recognition Viswanathan and the company have received in the past few years. Viswanathan has earned numerous awards and accolades including the “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2014 by CII and “CEO of the Year” in 2014 by INFOCOM. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Madras in 1992, and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 1995. He is a member of IIT Madras’ Incubation Cell and an active donor member of the IIT Alumni Industry Interaction Centre. He is also a Charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Chennai Chapter. Most recently, Viswanathan was inducted into the Forbes Technology Council, an invitation-only community for world class CIOs, CTOs and technology executives.
