LatentView Analytics, a leading predictive analytics and decision management services firm, today announced that the company’s Founder and CEO, Venkat Viswanathan has hired Gopi Koteeswaran to take over as CEO of the fast-growing organisation. Venkat will transition to the role of Chairman, playing an advisory role within the firm. Gopi has led global companies to positions of strength in geographically diverse markets. He began his career as a brand manager with Johnson & Johnson where he worked for a decade, finally spearheading the company’s Vision Care business in India and Malaysia. He then joined Philips at its headquarter in Netherlands, handling M&As and general management responsibilities. In 2010, he was named CEO of Philip’s DirectLife, a health and wellness business.

Talking about his decision to hand over the reins of the company he founded in 2006, Venkat described it as in keeping with his long term strategy. “We have been growing at an amazing pace, doubling in scale every year. There is a clear need for the services and skills we bring to the table. In this landscape, we are only bound by our own limitations. Gopi brings to LatentView a fresh perspective and the skills needed to realise our ambitions. He has lived and worked in five countries, understands diverse marketplaces and business challenges and has led and influenced multicultural teams and companies.”

LatentView today works with leading Fortune 500 companies, hires over 350 data analysts and has offices in four countries. It has consistently been in the spotlight for its growth and quality of deliverables having been named on the Red Herring Top 100 (Asia) list on multiple occasions. Recently, it was identified a “Market Leader” in the Marketing Analytics space (SourcingLine). The big data market will reach $32.4 billion by 2017, which is six times faster than the overall ICT market (IDC). “When competing in fast growth markets, its important to build a strategy that ensures sustained, non-volatile growth rates. We will continue to build on our achievements, as we emerge the most reputed and trusted global analytics firm in the markets we choose to play in,” said Gopi, in an internal address to his team.

Gopi studied Engineering at the prestigious IIT, Madras. He has an MBA from IMD, Switzerland.
